About the Silver Service Campaign

May is Elder Abuse Prevention Month!

The Silver Service Campaign is a project of Washington Service Corps. The campaign was initiated in 2006 by Intergenerational Innovations, a non-profit organization committed to uniting youth and seniors in service to each other and their community.

Created in response to the tragic abuse of a population that is both valuable and vulnerable, the Silver Service Campaign is dedicated to educating the public about the pervasive, yet often overlooked abuse and neglect of older adults. The Silver Service Campaign strives to empower citizens to remain attentive to warning signs indicating abuse and/or neglect, and when faced with the possibility of elder abuse, to recognize and exercise their responsibility to intervene with immediate action.

We have created a informational brochure outlining the dangers of Elder Abuse and providing resources for taking action in King County, Washington. Please download it here!
