Leatherwork

I made armor in high school and college, but only since Alece gave me the tools have I been engaged in leatherwork proper. I really enjoy it. Here's some of the stuff I've made:

My present wallet - this was my first one. It works well, and I was in dire need of a replacement for my old one. You know how it goes. This is from a Tandy Craftaid, which, though not cheap, are great kits for when you're starting out.
Another wallet. This one's scratchbuilt for Andrew and features artwork from an album he enjoys. You probably recognize it as Andy Warhol, but don't be fooled, I carved it myself.
This is, you know, a coaster. Yeah, I didn't think I'd ever need a coaster either, but grown-up furniture actually necessitates the use of these things. You'll probably feel dumb buying them at the store, so you may as well make them yourself.
This one's also a coaster. Sometimes it's all the way over there, but you're thirsty on the other side of the room. Solution? Have a spare lined up beforehand.
"Texas Holdem Dealer Button One of Three" is precisely the same size as a coaster but far more suited to marking the designated dealer in a game of Hold'em.
"Texas Holdem Dealer Button Two of Three" has more of a Western feel to it.
"Texas Holdem Dealer Button Three of Three" features Tirade wearing a dealer's visor. Don't fuck with Tirade.
This "Green Thing" is too large to be a coaster, so we stick it under a medium-sized bowl instead. It was good practice for carving and dyeing for me, though.

Note that belts have been moved to their own page.
